A Little Bit About My Creation Process

Every virtual outfit I make starts with a spark of inspiration. Sometimes it’s a color palette, a texture I see in a game, or a random real outfit I see at the mall. Other times, it’s based on a vibe I want to capture something bold and romantic, creative and fantastical, or soft and comfortable. Once I have a loose concept in mind, I move into Blender, where I block out the basic shapes and start refining the silhouette. I pay a lot of attention to how the pieces flow and interact with the avatar’s movements since VR fashion is meant to be seen in motion.

After the base model is done, I dive into texturing. Texturing is my favorite part and i tend to get lost within the endless posibilities of what i can create. This is where I can really bring the design to life. Asking myself questions like “What would this outfit be made out of?” Or “Would this design look good glowing in the dark, or how transparent it should be?”’ Are just examples of how I refine a design’s materials. I love experimenting with shimmery materials, stylized fabrics, gradients, and glowing effects that you just can’t replicate in real life. I’ll often test how the outfit looks under different lighting and environments to make sure it holds up in any VR world. From there, I rig the outfit to fit a variety of different avatar basess, making sure it moves smoothly and feels natural in-game.

What keeps me hooked on virtual fashion is how limitless it feels. There’s always a new shader to try, a new idea to chase, or a challenge to solve. No two designs are ever the same, and every creation is a chance to learn something new while helping someone else express their unique style.
